چکیده
Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the fracture resistance endodontically treated maxillary premolars with mesioocclusodistal (MOD) cavities supported by horizontal glass fiber posts. Methodology: Thirty three extracted were collected and grouped into three. MOD prepared all them treated. Teeth posts; vertical posts composite restoration alone in groups respectively. Fracture assessed using Universal testing machine. Type visual examination. failure Stereomicroscope. Results: Highest shown samples post (Group C). Group B had higher chances 1 (Adhesive between luting cement) compared other groups. A 4 (Cohesive failure) C 5 failures (Mixed type; combination any two above-mentioned types). There no statistically significant association mode (repairable unrepairable). Majority from underwent repairable fractures. Conclusion: group significantly

In Vitro Effect of Zirconia and Zirconia Enriched Glass Fiber Composite Posts on Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Teeth
Objective: Despite the advantages of esthetic posts, lack of studies on their fracture resistance has limited their clinical use. This study aimed to compare the effect of two types of esthetic posts namely zirconia and zirconia enriched glass fiber composite posts on fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth against compressive forces. Methods: This in vitro study was conducted o...
متن کاملIntracanal Retention of Glass Fiber Posts
Objective: Fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) posts have recently become more popular for restoring endodontically treated teeth because of providing esthetics, better stress distribution and lower risk of root fracture. Resistance against tensile forces dislodging the post from the root canal is a prerequisite for these posts. This study aimed to evaluate the tensile retention (strength) of in...

PURPOSE The aim of the present study was to evaluate the fracture resistances of zirconia, cast nickel-chromium alloy (Ni-Cr), and fiber-composite post systems under all-ceramic crowns in endodontically treated mandibular first premolars. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 36 extracted human mandibular premolars were selected, subjected to standard endodontic treatment, and divided into three g...

BACKGROUND AND AIMS The aim was to evaluate the effect of three methods of fiber insertion on fracture resistance of root-filled maxillary premolars in vitro. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixty extracted human maxillary premolars received endodontic treatment followed by preparation of mesioocclusodistal (MOD) cavities, with gingival cavosurface margin 1.5 mm coronal to the cementoenamel junction (C...
